Kris strummed his guitar backed by a piano and made the few hundred fans happy on an otherwise dreary morning. Kris doesn’t seem to have the star power shown by runner-up Adam Lambert. Over at Central Park it was opening day of the Broadway Show Softball League. The league consists of teams made up of the current Broadway shows. A former American Idol, Constantine Maroulis who finished 6th in the 4th season is appearing in the show ” Rock Of Ages ” A Tony Award nominee Constantine belted out a stirring rendition of ” The Star Spangled Banner “ to get the season going. Also Actors Equity presented a check for $10,000 to fight AIDS. Accepting the check were current Broadway Stars Jeff Daniels [ God of Carnage ], Haydn Gwynne [ Billy Elliott ] Andy Karl [ 9 to 5 ] and Hunter Foster. They all threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Showing up later to play in the game was leftfielder Colin Hanks [ Tom Hanks Son ]

A pair of giant movie stars are beginning to shoot a new film in NYC.
The movie is ” Morning Glory “ and its star are Harrison [ Han Solo ] Ford and Diane [ Annie Hall ] Keaton.
Before the actual filming is done the actors do camera tests, where they are shot in make-up and various outfits or costumes. I got both in their street attire and Harrison in a cool suit with slick backed hair.
Goofy Diane came out of make-up with her head covered by a scarf. She had to be lead by her assistant, which looked silly but is nice video. Since she later came strolling down the street with her hair in giant rollers it seems the Oscar winning actress craved some attention.
