On Valentine’s day, 1998, ANNA NICOLE SMITH exited BARFLY on the Sunset Strip, with her new lawyer, HOWARD K. STERN, who was charged in LOS ANGELES Superior Court with three counts of conspiracy, with obtaining fraudulent prescriptions and unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance two weeks before Smith’s death, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons.
