Saturday saw the grand opening of a brand new skate park in Venice Beach, California. Venice had a tremendous impact on skateboarding in the early days, and one of the most  influential skaters, Christian Hosoi, was there to christen the brand new park.

The weather was beautiful and the first stop was the best Block party around with E.L. Woody “The King of the Paparazzi”. We stopped at the party, where Venice Original’s Cesario “Block” Montano was playing host to the best party on the beach, celebrating the opening of the skate park. The party was bumping, with plenty of fresh tacos and great live music from Dirt Nasty aka Simon Rex and Lisa D’amato.

Then it was time to check out the new skate park where skateboarding legend and Venice Original Christian Hosoi was tearing it up for all the fans who came to check it out, including actor Scott Caan, who chatted and shot a little video on his cell phone. The park was open to anyone, and many of Venice’ finest skaters showed off their skills. Christian pulled off some great moves and then took some time to tell us what the new skate park means for Venice beach, which is widely regarded as the Mecca of skateboarding.

All in all it was a beautiful day at the beach. So the next time you are down at the world famous Venice Beach, go to the Venice Originals skate board shop and ask them how to get to the skate park on the beach.

Larry got some great footage of Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon in NYCas they return to their apartment after appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show. Mariah shares a hug and a smile with Nick and the couple seems to be very much in love.

The other night we caught up with a new looking Lindsay Lohan at an Emmy Afterparty at Chateau Marmont. Lilo seemed to be channeling Marylin Monroe and was playing a game of peek-a-boo with the paps, First hiding then peeking. It was lots of fun for Lindsay who seemed to be unsure why she was drawing so much attention. Check out the clip.

Lindsay Lohan attended the G-Star Fashion Show during Fashion Week in NYC. Lindsay sported her new blonde hair and she looked lovely, as she exited the show.
