THEN E.L. WOODY ‘THE KING OF THE PAPARAZZI’ COVERED THE PREMIERE AFTERPARTY AND HAD THIS REPORT:

GOLDEN GLOBES nominee for “BEST ACTOR”, MICKEY ROURKE, was basking in glory at THE WRESTLER premiere in Beverly Hills, last night. The star studded event was held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre on Wilshire Blvd. After watching the highly acclaimed movie, about an old champion wrestler making a comeback, which pretty much parallels MICKEY ROURKE’S real life, the huge crowd of HOLLYWOOD insiders moved downstairs, to devour the excellent food and drink provided.

Dressed in my urban camouflage, I worked the crowd of surprised to see me there stars. JARED LETO stopped by to chat. MATT PERRY was mildly amused when I asked him if he still had our Paparazzi TV hat, which we had given him in 1996. The lovely co-star of “Righteous Kill”, SHIRLY BRENNER, was stunning! She is going to be a big star. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I was inside, and loving it! It was a great party. I had a great time! I hope Mickey wins an OSCAR, too!

Mickey Rourke, who had invited me, posed with his cousin Guiseppe Franco, groomer of THE GOVENATOR, ARNOLD S. Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Darren Aronofsky, Jared Leto, Oliver Stone, Shirly Brener, Bai Ling, Robert Davi, David Krumholtz, and many, many more attended the after party.

MICKEY ROURKE has been my friend for about twenty years. He is, not only, a great actor, but a really nice person. Mickey is ihe RODNEY DANGERFIELD of leading actors. He has seen it all, been a part of it all, is a major international star, and, yet. in Hollywood, still gets no respect.

That lack of respect might change next month. Mickey has been nominated for the “BEST ACTOR” award, for his role as Randy “The Ram” Robinson in the film, “THE WRESTLER”. I will make my guess as to who will win, my prediction is MICKEY ROURKE. There is considerable buzz in LA about this film, about a wrestler making a comeback. This is art imitating Mickey’s life, up, down, down, down, now, maye, up a step. Will he hang on against those who hate him? Will he get his well deserved Star on the Walk of Fame? Will life brighten up for this real life battler?

From my vantage point, I hope he gets the Golden Globe and the Academy Award. He has always been a steadfast friend. He actually deserves the good things coming for him. I wish him all the best!

The GOLDEN GLOBES are the best show in town. As a photographer, I had the pleasure to work the event three years for SE OG HOER, Denmark’s TV Guide. The HOLLYWOOD FOREIGN PRESS ASSOCIATION puts on a photographer friendly event, which showcases international television and motion picture stars, in a friendly atmosphere. This is the way things should be for a working photographer, great food, great treatment, wonderful international atmosphere. The way it should be.

CHRISTINA MILIAN - THE SEXY STAR SHOWED UP

PRINCE - (OR WHATEVER HE’S CALLING HIMSELF THESE DAYS) MADE A RARE PUBLIC APPEARANCE, ALTHOUGH HE ONLY STAYED 5 MINUTES.

RUSSELL CROWE - THE GLADIATOR STAR HAD LUNCH @ THE EURO CAFE (AGAIN), AND RODE AWAY ON HIS BICYCLE.

JOSH DUHAMEL & FERGIE - THE TRANSFORMER STAR & HIS BLACK EYED PEA, SOON TO BE WIFE SHOPPED @ CRATE & BARREL IN BEVERLY HILLS.  IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE SCANNING STUFF FOR THEIR WEDDING REGISTRY. When they drove past the photographers, they were asked if gifts were for wedding. They replied, “No! For Christmas!”

In 1983, I shot pictures of the “Girl Who Shot J.R.“, MARY CROSBY. She called me because THE STAR Magazine wanted to do a story about how she had saved her horses from one of the terrible fires in Malibu.

On a movie starring JAN MICHAEL VINCENT and MARY CROSBY, “LAST PLANE OUT“J, we had become friends. I had photographed her on the set in Florida. We stayed in touch after we all returned to Malibu.

The photos I shot for MARY were the start of my current  “tabloid” period of photography. MICHAEL LEVINE, MARY’S publicist was there that day I photographed her.

Twenty five years later, I traveled to Michael’s Beverly Hills office to catch up with him after all these years. He is quite successful.

About the anniversary:
In June of 1983, a college drop-out, Michael Levine, began a P.R. firm in Hollywood, on a borrowed desk, with no training.

That firm, LCO - Levine Communications Office, became one of the largest and most prominent
P.R. firms in Hollywood history representing hundreds of A+ level celebrities including
Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson, Charlton Heston, Nancy Kerrigan, Demi Moore, Michael
J. Fox, David Bowie, Prince, Jon Voight, Bill O’Reilly, Jon Stewart, Ozzy Osborne,George
Carlin, Suzanne Somers, Kiss, among many others.

In addition, Levine is the author of 19 books including “Guerrilla P.R.”, which is the most widely used introduction to P.R. in the world, translated into 6 languages and is a
frequent guest on numerous TV show including “Good Morning, America”, “The Today Show”, “Nightline”, CNN and Fox News.

SYLVESTER STALLONE and JENNIFER FLAVIN - Stallone was very pleasant and hugged the flower lady. Excited fans asked him to wish Christina a Happy Birthday. Stallone: “Happy Birthday, now.” Yesterday an obsessed stalker of Paula Abdul’s committed suicide outside Paula’s home, so I asked Sly if he ever had a stalker. He gave it a bit of thought and responded…Sylvester: “Well, do relatives count? No, just kidding.” He hopped into the passenger seat next to Jennifer, waved goodnight and departed in their impressive Ferrari. In my encounters with the actor, he has always been relaxed and easy going.

LADY VICTORIA HERVEY - The lovely Victoria checked into the club and commented that she saw me two nights in a row. I told her it must be some kind of record.

JOSH BREDEHOFT - Ladies man actor/singer Josh hung out with several pals. He is on his way to New York and working on his second single. I wished him a great trip and mentioned that the New York ladies will change him forever! He has Hollywood in the palm of his hand.

SETH MACFARLANE - “Family Guys” Seth was kept waiting, hung out with the paparazzi and provided me with plenty of highly entertaining and amusing footage. Eventually the door guys let him know that he could enter the club, but he told them to wait, as he was hanging out with us and having too much fun. I asked him if he ever had a stalker and he talked about the time a guy tried to break into his home and he scared him off with very loud and painful frying pans. Seth chatted about all kinds of things, including the Presidential election, his thoughts on Obama and Sarah Palin, how much money he earns, etc, etc. He finally decided to go inside “Crown” and came out shortly to give me an update. He mentioned that he gave the club the white glove inspection and it pretty much passed, but his salad did not arrive. He joked that he had to eat bread and I recommended that they give him a refund for the invisible salad. I asked him if there were lots of wild girls inside, who took off their clothes. He kidded that Glenn Close was there. He went back inside to continue to party and at the end of his night, he drew numerous sketches with “Family Guy” characters for the autograph dealers. He gave a nice SHOUT-OUT to our terrific website POPTV.COM. You must check out my video on the website, as it is extensive and Seth is really amusing.

JAMES MARSDEN - The “X-Men” and “Superman Returns” star was all smiles and friendly. I asked him about his night and he kidded that he didn’t know it was a club that he was at, but that it’s fun to get out. I asked him where the beautiful ladies were. He was with guys and laughed that there were no girls, just guys tonight. He posed and I told him to smile some more as the girls love looking at him. Check out James in three movies he has coming out…“Nailed,” “The Box” and “Conan: Red Nails.”

PARIS HILTON - WENT TO THE KATE SOMERVILLE SKIN HEALTH EXPERTS SHOP ON MELROSE PLACE. WHEN SHE CAME OUT IT WAS SHEER PAPARAZZI MADNESS!!!

AFTER SHE FINALLY MADE IT TO HER CAR, SHE MADE A QUICK STOP AT DUKES COFFE SHOP ON SUNSET FOR A QUICK BITE TO EAT.

PARIS HILTON sets a fine example and could hold classes for the rest of the celebs, on how to handle the paparazzi. In this video a wild paparazzi frenzy, with shutterbugs screaming, including some war whoops, PARIS calmly talks on the phone as she hunts for her new baby blue BENTLEY Convertible. She tells the crazed, whooping paps to “Stay off my car!” but seems totally unconcerned with the chaos. Great video! Great lesson! All the rest of you stars should watch closely. Notice that she does not have police or bodyguard escorts to interfere, and yet she is in total control. What a girl!

DAVID BECKHAM & VICTORIA BECKHAM - The soon to be playing in Italy soccer star, and the Spice Girl, zipped past the waiting paparazzi. The UK couple emerged from the basement, in their SUV and rushed past the paps, as usual.

NICHOLAS CAGE - The OSCAR winner signed autographs for his fans, ignored political questions from paps, then drove his Rolls Royce away.

ROB ZOMBIE (White Zombie) & WIFE SHERI MOON ZOMBIE signed a few autographs.

In 2001, GUY RICHIE and MADONNA , attended the premiere of SNATCH, which GUY directed. They attended an after party, then slipped off to a private after-after party at LUCK, where we got exclusive video of them exiting and kissing. Guy wanted to get a picture with Madonna, pulled her from vehicle and kissed her for cameras. She seemed reluctant, as if she were being used to publicize his movie. The tension is obvious.
