I waited for Hugh Jackman outside his West Village apartment with a few of my friends. When he finally came out he was with his wife, Deboraa and gis kids, Oscar and Eva. The family got settled into his Range Rover and off we went.
Five cars followed! About 1 hour into the trip Hugh pulled into a gas station in Connecticut we all scrambled from our cars. It was a funny scene, really made Hugh and Deboraa laugh. Hugh told us we would need our passports if we continued on.
We pressed on and after some stops for directions we ended up at Silverman’s Farm. Hugh got a wagon and pulled the kids around while Deboraa took some photos. The family picked some pumpkins and we got some great footage.

Saturday saw the grand opening of a brand new skate park in Venice Beach, California. Venice had a tremendous impact on skateboarding in the early days, and one of the most influential skaters, Christian Hosoi, was there to christen the brand new park.
The weather was beautiful and the first stop was the best Block party around with E.L. Woody “The King of the Paparazzi”. We stopped at the party, where Venice Original’s Cesario “Block” Montano was playing host to the best party on the beach, celebrating the opening of the skate park. The party was bumping, with plenty of fresh tacos and great live music from Dirt Nasty aka Simon Rex and Lisa D’amato.
Then it was time to check out the new skate park where skateboarding legend and Venice Original Christian Hosoi was tearing it up for all the fans who came to check it out, including actor Scott Caan, who chatted and shot a little video on his cell phone. The park was open to anyone, and many of Venice’ finest skaters showed off their skills. Christian pulled off some great moves and then took some time to tell us what the new skate park means for Venice beach, which is widely regarded as the Mecca of skateboarding.
All in all it was a beautiful day at the beach. So the next time you are down at the world famous Venice Beach, go to the Venice Originals skate board shop and ask them how to get to the skate park on the beach.

The other night we caught up with a new looking Lindsay Lohan at an Emmy Afterparty at Chateau Marmont. Lilo seemed to be channeling Marylin Monroe and was playing a game of peek-a-boo with the paps, First hiding then peeking. The weekend was wet and busy, with Fashion Week rolling along, and the MTV, Video Music Awards.
With the rain falling I went over to the London Hotel to get some cover and some celebrities. Funkadelic legend Bootsie Collins was checking out.

Once again beautiful singer Keri Hilsonlights up the tents, Angela and Vanessa Simmons look very beautiful. The girls are the daughters of the Rev. Run of RunDMC. Solange Knowles with her very sophisticated looking young son.

Over at two more party spots were plenty of stars.
At Lady Gaga’s party at Avenue Akon and Keri Hilson hit the tiny red carpet area. Monday morning, somehow I am awake and as I walk to work I catch U.S.Open Champion, Kim Clijsters posing with her trophy in Times Square. Kim who was off the tour for 2 years while giving birth and being a mom looked great.
Over at the Tents for the Jill Stuart Show the stars were being driven into the garage. As Amanda Bynes was ready to walk in, the handlers pushed her back in her car.

Joanna stopped to chat and addressed many issues about being on “DWTS,” including the challenges, her stiffest competition, what she is most looking forward to, what she likes about having Derek as a partner, etc. She is a breath of fresh air and as nice as can be. Derek left solo and I told him he is usually with a hot lady. Regardless, the talented guy always has a blast.
